Dr Zeynep Ayata is Assistant Professor and Jean Monnet Chair at Koç University Law School. She holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, an LLB from Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne and an LLM from College of Europe (Bruges) and a PhD in private law from the University of Ankara. Her research interests are European Union law; European and Turkish competition law; law and economics; law, technology, innovation, and digitalisation. She has been a visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, at the British Institute of Comparative and International Law and a visiting researcher at the Cambridge University Centre for Law, Medicine and Life Sciences in 2019. She was a review panel member for COST Action for two years. She is currently conducting a Jean Monnet Action funded by the EU Commission and a research project funded by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. She has also worked in three research projects on social enterprises funded by the British Council, the European Union and the World Bank.
